Floating Flowers: Spring Sensory Play

Now that it’s Spring, there is lots of colour in the little flower garden the girls have been caring for. They are out there every day with the hose, giving them a good drink and singing them songs to help them grow. It is so sweet. And now that the weather is warming up here they’re often asking for some water play too! This afternoon we decided to combine some water play with some of the beautiful flowers for some spring sensory fun.

Floating Flowers: Spring Sensory Play | Happiness is hereWe filled up a big tub of water, and dyed it a pinky purple colour with some of our liquid watercolours. I love all the different colours they come in but you could just use food colouring instead. The girls picked some flowers and floated them in the water.

So simple! Only a few ‘ingredients’ needed and they played out here for such a long time!
