I recently finished reading “Queen Bees and Wannabees” and it mirrored what I experienced in a school setting but today the situation is so much worse because of cell phones. Every time I read a passage in the book, I was so thankful that I was able to remove my daughter from that toxic environment. Kids confined in schools develop the herd mentality, everyone has to go along with the herd. My daughter was in traditional school for 3 years. She came home in 1st grade telling me she couldn’t wear Clifford bandaids because the boys in class said those are for babies. One of her teachers told her she can’t call her dad “da da” because that’s what baby’s call their dads. Those are innocent in comparison to the herd expectations as they get older (i.e. sex, drugs and alcohol).
