Whew! Thank you! I needed to hear that.. I get carried away with all these sensory boards and learning tools and he uses them for 5 seconds and is done. He is totally more interested in what I'm doing and I love that.

At 8 months, what your baby wants the most is interaction with people, especially you. I'm sure you're doing GREAT! I've never met an 8-month old that is really and truly bored. His entire life is new and exciting and if you're interacting with him, he's in his happy place. We're an unschooling family, my kids are almost-4 and 6, and often what they still want the most is to be with me and my husband! :)

My son (first child) is 8 months old currently. I've been literally losing my mind because he seems bored and I feel I'm not doing enough to guide him..then I read up on Montessori practices and we already practice minimalism and free, uninterrupted play. And my son is developing pretty quickly (walking, climbing, trying to say words) and is happy. I just am wondering if I'm doing enough to keep him happy, curious and growing. I guess I'm sorta looking for ideas and/or validation from other unschooling moms.
