The week that was…Natural learning

What a fun week we’ve had! And the weather has been lovely here. We were sick again for a bit but that didn’t seem to stop the learning. Here is our week of natural learning in photos…
We started the week with an excursion to a farm with our homeschool co-op, which the girls loved! They got to feed cows, goats, lambs, horses, ducks, and chilckens.

They even got to milk a cow!

Beautiful friendships forming.
I’m not entirely sure what’s going on here, but a lot of time was spent designing it.

A perfume store was set up after some spring sensory play.

There was a LOT of block play this week.

Miss 5 made another stop motion video.
Some art outside! Super simple chalk paint recipe. I love the colours.

When they had finished they tipped all the paint out together and created this beautiful rainbow. They then used the paintbrushes to write in it.

A storm was forecast and we went outside to watch it arrive.

The girls wondered what causes storms, so brought this book out with them to find the answer.
A visit from Nan, and Miss 5 wanted to read her a book.

More loose parts. “Mum, I made a clock!”

Lovely, so much fun! You nailed that cow-milking shot!
Haha thanks! They loved the farm.
Do you recommend the weather book? It looks pretty good.
I love your photos, they’re so simple and yet convey something special.
Thank you Sharon 🙂
I absolutely recommend it! I thought people might ask about it so I added the link. It’s really great. Lots of information but written in simple terms for them to understand. And also lots of tabs and flaps that they love too.
