Miss 7 showing Miss 9 how to sew a little bag for Miss 7 showing Miss 9 how to sew a little bag for a game they were playing. On the other side of the table, Miss 14 was getting Miss 12 to double-check her spelling and grammar as she uploaded artwork to her online shop.

This is something I love about unschooling. Without grades and levels and comparison, no one has any issue with learning from someone younger than them. They don't feel silly. They don't expect they should know more just because they are older. They certainly don't look down on anyone smaller. Instead, they know that everyone has different strengths, and interests, and spends their time working on different things.

In our house, they know that if you want help with any kind of art, handicraft, or building something in Minecraft, Miss 14 is the person to go to. If you need help writing a story, reading, or with that tricky tap step you're practicing, Miss 12 can help with that. If you're trying to master an acro trick, Miss 9 is the one you turn to. And if you're looking to make something out of craft materials, Miss 7 is sure to have an idea of the best way to go about it.
