So proud of these girls. They had a sad start to the year when their dance school closed down unexpectedly, right before they were about to start for the year. There were many tears and worries about never finding another place they loved as much. This was their dance family!

We toured many places and nowhere felt right. We worried we may not find anywhere, but eventually we found a studio that seemed hopeful. Swipe to see the text Miss 15 sent me while we were there 😍 The power of an adult who clearly values and respects children. It makes all the difference. They all came out of that meeting saying 'this is the one, Mum!'

So, they started last week, very nervously. It's a big change and it required some extra bravery! The little girls had a friend each to go with who had decided on the same studio, but the big girls had no one. I felt sad for them. It's harder to go somewhere new when you're older. Like starting again with teachers who don't know you or your capabilities, and harder to make friends when it's no longer as simple as asking 'do you want to be friends?' 😂

I'm happy to report, there was no need to worry. In fact, most shockingly, they have all said to me that they think maybe our dance school closing down was a good thing. A blessing in disguise! The kids were incredibly welcoming, they've all made friends already, they feel seen and supported by the teachers, and they're coming home on such a high every time!

When one door closes, another one opens. With a bonus lesson that they can do hard things, and adapt to change, and make the most of uncomfortable situations.

It's going to be a great year!
