One afternoon last week, they packed up some water
One afternoon last week, they packed up some watercolour paints and headed down to the lake to catch the sunset. I couldn’t resist sneaking down later to snap a photo, of course. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in 'Little Women' or something 😂😍 From time to time, people tell me that unschooling looks too idealistic. That it can't really be like that. That we should show more ‘real life.’ And honestly? As I watched them painting and laughing together by the water, I thought: 'This is what they’re talking about.' It does look too good to be true. And yet… here we are. The truth is, this is our real life. There are arguments and “stop looking at me!” There’s mess and chaos and giant piles of washing. There’s TV binges and running late. But there are also so many moments like this. Maybe because we have the gift of more time together, without having to go to school, we get more of these moments. That’s not unrealistic. That’s the gift of unschooling. Sometimes it DOES feel like magic. Some days you DO feel like you're living a dream. #unschooling #lifewithoutschool #homeschooling
