Our table on a Monday morning. Four kids, four different plans, cup of tea for me, and lots of talking 😂

Definitely recommend making a little family meeting/planning time a regular habit at the beginning of the week! It really makes a difference to how our weeks feel.

We sit down together on a Monday morning and talk about what everyone has going on, what they’re interested in, ideas they don’t want to forget, things they’d like to make time for, and whether they need any help (or ingredients bought for baking lol).

We unschool so the schedule for the week is up to them. We use pages from my Self-Directed Life Planner. Each of them pick the pages that are helpful for them.

Sometimes that’s a daily schedule, sometimes it's a list of loose ideas. Different kids need different tools, and the same child needs different things at different times.

Taking a little time to plan starts our week with some direction and inspiration, and that's a very different vibe than having no idea where you're going.

On the list of things they planned this week: learning about volcanoes, texture paintings, online drawing and biology classes, nature journaling, costume design, opinion piece writing, research, and more!

The Self-Directed Life Planner was made for helping kids take ownership over their own learning and time, and it’s currently 25% off for the first time ever.

The sale ends 31 August. If you’d like the link and discount code, comment PLANNER and I’ll send them to you ❤️
